Hi guys and girls

I've had a look through old threads and can't find this topic answered anywhere.

I wish to lay a two strip border around the room including the curved bay window. What is the 'normal' way to do this?

Do fit the outer border to the bay, cutting a curve on the outside edge and mitring the joints where they butt up. The inner border can then be just mitred?

I'm using reclaimed tongue and grooved. But I take it that its OK to cut this off and just butt joint the herring bone to the border, or should I router the tongue/groove back on again?

Many thanks for your time.

Your idea is as good as any other idea for the border, the main issue is what you like to have as end-result.
And no, you don't have to router new T&G's on small blocks, the glue and remainder of the T&G will hold them in place
