Just had a go at laying out the footings etc on profile boards for an extension on my house, wondering how accurate I need to be?

Darkness has stopped play for now, but I'm down to approx 8mm on the diagonals over a 14000mm span. Extension is 14000mmx5800mm.

Footings are to be 700mm wide.

Thanks all.

try and work to the nearest brick or half brick. +or- 8mm is nowt in terms of a 14m building, but i admire your tenacity.

i should concern yourself more when it comes to squaring up the wall plate, prior to fixing the roof. this will need to be bang on should you be fitting a traditional cut roof.

Cheers for the reply, thought I was being to fussy, fitter/turner to trade so I need to throw that hat off when I get home at night. :P

Main construction is 150mm timber frame clad in 100mm concrete blocks with "W" trusses for the roof, OSB sarking and concrete tiles.
