Hello all,

I have recently moved into a bungalow and hate the layout of the pipework to the radiators. The feed falls at one side of the house and then all rooms are fed by running the pipes along the bottom of the walls so that many rooms have pipes the full length of two walls (or more).

My plan is to completely re-plumb this and have feed and return pipes drop down from the loft for each room.

Can anyone tell me if this is a viable option and if so, how should this be laid out?

If anyone can help or point me at some helpful info I would be very grateful.

Thanks,

rogi

My opinion, don't do anything for at least 6 months and then see if you still feel the same. It might save you a lot of work. You could move the pipes as you suggest, but make the radiators work properly by putting the flow in at the top and the return out at the bottom.

I see your point the way you suggest is the way I would have piped it, keeping the network of piping hidden and in the loft; but as Oilman says this is only cosmetic.

Can you live with it?

If not give me a call I'd be happy to take your money!! ;)
