Lead flashing and hip detail

Hi All
I would like some clarification on the correct method of flashing a hip.
I have an abutment roof with a hip in it that returns the roof through 90degrees. My question is when the flashing meets the hip tiles do you continue the flashing and bed the tile over it or bed the hip and cover flash over. I'm thinking the latter.

Flashing first then bed the hip tile over the flashing.

And the lead thats under the hip can be turn up on it's self and weep holes formed the the muck.
