evening all, anyone out there with experience of using lead free alternatives to normal flashing? I've been searching around and have found something called Lacomet which is aluminium-based I think, and another one going by the name of Ubiflex. Would appreciate any advice from anyone who's used anything like these, TIA

Ubiflex is easier to work than lead! can be fitted in longer runs and is slightly less expensive.

Lead is versatile. It can be welded to suit any shape such as aprons, back gutters internal and external angles etc.

Try doing it with the other pretenders.

thanks for the replies. I went to the merchants and had a feel of some ubiflex. Seems OK so I've ordered some. I'm sure you're right noseall, it won't be as good as lead and it ain't as pretty, but on this job it won't be much on show. I needed 18m of 300mm lead and l reckon this stuff is about a 40% saving.
