Lead pipe connection to new Barrier Pipe

I have recently purchased a house with an old barn. We want to make the barn into a "utility" room and need to plumb in for washing machine and sink etc. However the water into the barn is from an old lead pipe with just a tap attached.
So question is.. How does one attach a section of JG speedfit barrier pipe to this lead pipe?
