Hi renovating an old house with a lead pipe inlet. I burst the stop cock screwing it down an had to turn of water at the street. I want to connect to the old lead pipe so i can draw water to send samples to the council to get a grant for lead replacement. Question is how do i connect to old lead pipe. All i need is a few samples of water then i can turn off again at the street. It looks about a 22mm or prob 3/4 pipe. Could just pap on a speedfit/pushfilt connection for a quik job or is there some type of lead to copper connection

There are some more universal fittings available.

The most popular one I use goes from 25mm MDPE to anything between 20 and 27mm. At the 25mm end there are a range of inserts to get you onto plastic or cupped pipe.
