A builder friend has asked me to repair a small split in the lead mains pipe.
As it is a small leak his client will not go to the expense of renewing to plastic.
Can anybody advise on a good method to repair :)

1 turn water off
2 drain the pipe
3cut out the split and make sure you have smooth sound lead at both sides
4attach led locs to pipe ends (come with instructions)cut a lengh of copper to size
5 make off compression ends
6 turn water back on
7 get paid
8 enjoy
