Got a 2mb leak on a ravenheat/honeywellcomposite gas valve where the modureg joins main body. Probably a failed rubber washer. Ravenheat do not supply these on their own - only with modureg at £72 + vat!!!
Any one any suggestions on replacement washer?
Cheers,

I reckon to "mend" a gas valve in general is unwise. Unless maybe if.. and... but... etc. But this is a diy site anyway and I wouldn't encourage any diy gas valve mending! Try the Argi Workbench - pro's only.

I agree, you public liabilty insurance would shyte if they knew you were reconditioning gas valves

change it

Cheers lads - but is that change the whole valve assembly or the modureg part only?

Can you can buy a modureg separately (with gaskets!)? Don't think so but do tell if you can!

According to Ravenheat and that little gas place tacked on to the side of their building. Have part no. in van. Will post tomorrow

Chris, you can get modureg seperatley prt 20233. Have decided to replace whole valve though.
My advice, under no circustances work on a ravenheat boiler.
Especially for a mate.
Up to 240 quid in parts now plus powerflush, and 18 hours labour... For not a lot ofcash.

If you were silly enough to have removed the modureg coil then a coating of silicone grease on the rubber gasket would probably have stopped the small leak.

If its a VK4105 or similar then the screw and spring manual adjustment part at about £20 presumably has the same rubber washer???
