Leak or condensation

Only noticed this in the roof space of a chalet bungalow. Other side of the plasterboard is a shower that was put in 10 years ago-think the plastic sheet was already there beforehand.

Thinking either the shower has been letting water in (no sign of leaks anywhere else or ceiling below) or condensation in the plastic sheet. Anyone offer any advice before we have to rip the bathroom out

Slice open the plastic sheet and see if you can see a leak. You can make it good with gorilla tape if you find it's just condensation
