Hi

Complete novice when it comes to anything to do with plumbing so some help would be appreciated. This valve under my sink is leaking. It's linked to my outdoor tap and I've just laid down a new lawn so need to use my hose as soon as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.

Oh dear. What is it that needs doing (in layman's terms if you can) so I can get an idea?

Firstly try hand tightening the white cap, where it's leaking from, in case it's just loose. If not then the white tap head on the brass valve needs turned off and then the white cap removed and a new 3/4" washer fitted inside, you can sometime get away with turning the washer over.

The rest of the pipework just needs tidied up. What does it look like above the shelf where the trap is connected to the sink?
