Leaking Bottle Trap

Hi,

I removed the bottle trap to unblock a bathroom sink.

When I put it back it leaks like nobody's business.

Is it just a case of PTFE tape or could it be something else?

You shouldn't need any PTFE on the joints on a bottle trap.

Crossed thread?
Damaged/missing 'O' ring or sealing washer?

Sorted- When I emptied the cr*p into the bin, the washer came out with it.
