I am on a job that initially was to fit a smaller rad in the front room and trv's to upstair radiators, however my investigations have discovered that the f&e tank for the cylinder is an old galvinised one that had the float valve tied up and was bone dry, has an overflow pipe into the cold water storage cistern and the cylinder has been tapped into to supply the shower directly.
One of the issues is the cylinder is leaking around cylinder union for the shower and i can not proceed with this job till early next week.
What i would like to know is what are the chances of the cylinder failing around this union and the house getting flooded before i get back to it?
