Leaking new WC

How often does this happen.

Just installed a replacement low level WC and cistern, all plumbed in and it leaks. Looked at all the normal places that you think, ie cistern holes and multi quick...........it was where the seat lid fixing brackets pass through the china pan. A small split inside the hole. The pan must be made of two parts, 'slippered' together when being made, before passing into the kiln.

B & Q replaced it no problem.
I sympathise with any installer who has to carry the cost of taking the thing out, getting a new one and refitting it again, as I bet the customer wouldn't either know or care! :rolleyes:
