Leaking outdoor tap. Advice please..

Hi everyone

Thanks for taking the time to look at this thread. I have an outdoor tap that leaks from below the tap spout. In the attached picture it's leaking just above the filler foam, you can actually see a drop developing....

How does I fix this? Where the leak is there is also a nut but I'm not what this nut is for, assumption would be to tighten it but not sure if that could make an issue worse..?

Looks like the frost has had it. Turn the water off and remove the small screw where the drip is forming. Put a few wraps of PTFE tape under the screw head,replace and tighten.

Doubt you have a separate double check valve, so to at least to restore the current double check function till the next frost then replace the tap, around a fiverish at toolstation.
