if you have not had any alterations it could be system restriction or has somebody turned the pump speed up

nothing has been altered and the pump speed hasnt been turned up,we had a leak to the washing machine but that has now been fixed ,could there be an air lock somewhere even though all the radiators have been bled?

Just to display my ignorance of this type of boiler, are we talking overflow from the f+e tank or does this boiler have a prv drain which the OP is discribing as the overflow?

got told today expansion vessel has gone because its full with water by the plumber ,got to get a replacement one how much do they normally cost??

before having it replaced try recharging it first as they almost never need replacing, turn off all taps to boiler and open drain off, then using car pump inflate to roughly .75-1.0 bar whilst pumping water will come out this is normal,, that should sort problem, if new vessel is needed check how much because it is normally cheaper to install a new external vessel to the return pipework as close to the boiler as possible using 22mm pipe, this depends on were the boiler is though as can be unsightly and then you can forget the one in the boiler, if external one is used and you have a 3 bed house fit around a 12ltr,
