I've never doen any plumbing before and just spent the weekend removing an old bathroom suite and fitting in a new one. After a few compression joints "popping off" and several floods I've managed to get everything in place. However, when I put water in the bath or the sink, it leaks out of the bottom from where the plug is. I've used all of the washers that came with the plugs and screwed them on really tightly, but still water comes out from where there should be a tight seal. Has anybody any suggestions as to how to fix this as the old lady is on the verge of calling in a plumber!! Any advice much appreciated.
