Leaking Stop Cock

Hi,

I have an old stop valve (tap looking thing) and it seems to be leaking even when switched off so no water into property. All bolts look tight so no idea what it could be.

The 'tape in the gland' trick works until the tap is used next time, then it'll start to weep again and slowly get worse each time it's used. The gland is worn/pitted by the time it starts to leak, time to change it out for a quality full bore lever valve.
