i have just fitted a mono sink tap. All went well no leaks etc althoug the flow is aerated in appearance.

however if turn the tap on part way then turn it off (normal use) then it continues to dribble for exactly 50 mill. hot or cold.

if i turn the tap on full then turn it off abruptly it doesnt dribble.

the help line said this was normal although i have never had a ap do this before. Can anyone confirm this and explain why.

i hould add that i am just a diy person who has only fitted 1/2 doz taps in my lifetime so i aint seen it all by a long shot.

thanks

Cause by water in the spout being syphoned out. Happens with a lot of mixer tap designs. If the tap came with an alternate aereator try changing it. If not, learn to live with it.
