Leaky bathroom tap - model Deva DCM113 profile

Hello Folks

By way of background...

Old tap model Deva DCM113 leaked leaving pool of water around the rear of the tap.

Old tap removed and new tap of same model installed but the same leak is present.

The plumber returned and did spend a fair bit of time checking the tap & piping and said all looked well to him.

However, the leak is still occurring

Photos show the basin unit, leak and piping under the basin

Any suggestions ?

Do you see it coming from anywhere, eg the base of the tap handle? Maybe try a different brand?

I have just stuck a piece of toilet roll up into gaps at the base of both H & C tap handles and the paper comes out dry. I can't see water oozing out anywhere on the tap apart from at the base of the tap as in the picture. If you were to think of a clock face overlaid when looking straight down on the tap, the puddle always appears between roughly ten o’clock and two o’clock across the top of the clock face. I have two other Deva DCM113's installed elsewhere in the house and they are perfectly fine.

Ok, I wonder if it’s the rubber o-rings on the flexi’s then?

Attached is a picture of another DCM113 elsewhere in my house; I do not see a seal.

I am beginning to think there is a mismatch between the basin unit and the DCM113 taps so perhaps a new tap from another brand could be on the cards.

As country fan says then . Possiblly the tails leaking
