I dropped the shower head while cleaning the bath the other day and it has since been leaking all over the place - so I need to replace the shower head unit. However, this morning I noticed that water also appears to be coming from inside the shower unit itself. Could this be as a result of the drop or could it be something more sinister? EITHER WAY, IS IT DANGEROUS AND SHOULD I STILL BE USING THE SHOWER?

Please help asap!

Firstly switch the power off to the shower NOW before investigating further.

Is the water dripping from the bottom of the "U" of the shower hose? If so this may be water running down from the broken head of the shower rather than from the inside. Try checking this first.

I've turned the power to the shower off now. It's the actual spray head part that sprays all over the place since I damaged it last week - this doesn't concern me. But when the shower is on the water is definitely trickling from INSIDE the shower unit, where the hose comes from.

???

Has the hose come unscrewed slightly from the connection on the bottom of the shower unit?

David

It hasn't come unscrewed but I think the seal may be gone. The water is definitely coming from that part. Is it an electrical hazzard?

Sorry for being a bit vague - it's not really my thing! And thanks for your swift replies.

put the washer from the head end onto the shower side then see if it leaks. if it wasn`t leaking before i cant see it starting because you drop the head.
