Lean to against house

Hi guys,

I have a quick question, i am planning on building a Lean to against the house whcih will cover our Hot tube, similar to the picture below:

Do i need to put and lead flashing against the house where the horizontal beam will fix? just concerned about water on the brick work. All the examples i have seen don;t seem to have any, so just checking if this is needed or not.

As the outside space is going to remain open, a flashing isn't really needed - but you will get water running down the wall of course so any timber needs to be well protected.
