So a few years ago, I started buying 75W halogen bulbs to replace failing 100W incandescent bulbs.

But now I see there are 100W equivalent LED bulbs for sale... but there seems to be vastly-differing opinions when you read reviews...

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a true 100W equivalent bulb (Bayonet Cap)?

Thanks,

Gareth

Great, will have a look in Toolstation then, cheers.

Any others? I see some samsung and Phillips ones (Master?) that are advertised as 100W replacements - but they're ~£20! Are they any good?

all my light bulbs are leds all 20 off them some are up to 5+ years
but none are well known manufacturers

To be equivalent to 100W bulbs, you need an output of about 1400 lumens.

LEDs are not usually as bright as that.

You can get CFLs though.

trust me john its bright enough if you dont believe me get one lol
if its not 100w actual equivilent its 95% as good
the normal equivilent is 1300 lumens
i recon its at least 30-45% brighter than a 10w bulb
