led on the outside, is this normal

hi,

i have just had some upvc double glazing installed, the adhesive back fake led has been pressed onto the glass, now i thought this would be done in between both pieces of glass, however, it is exposed on the outside facing piece of glass, is this normal?? just thinking of wear and tear from weather and cleaning.

just someone who knows if this isnormal or not to put my mind at rest please
