Hi

In our newbuild we want to have ledge and brace internal doors however our kit supplier is determined that any L&B door will warp and twist and that this is a very bad idea.
Is this true? Does anyone have exerience of L&B doors in a new house? Would oak be much more stable than pine?
Is our supplier just trying to put us off as he does not have L&B doors in his catalogue and wants to sell us something else?

Feeling a wee bit lost because the guy is so convinced that it is a bad idea.

Thanks

Tim

With L&B doors, the boards need to be installed with a small tolerance within the tongues and grooves to allow for expansion, if this isn't done then a small amount of movement makes the door bow, this seems to be a common mistake.

Otherwise they are no more or less prone to warping than other types of solid timber doors.
