I am having a new front door fitted, to allow the door to open inwards it is going to be raised a course of bricks (current door opens outwards and acts like a surfboard!!). This leaves a hole in the floor

After the new door and brick course is fitted I want to fill the hole in. The concrete slab I want to fill onto was originally outside the house, with the doorline now moved forward (60's Wimpey home).

Questions:

The slab is below the wall damp course and will bring the floor up to the damp course height. Will I need to put any damp course into this?
What is the best material / combination of materials to fill the hole? Can I use screed then leveling compound

Cheers in advance for any advice!
