Hi Guys,

I've just removed a Tiled floor from my bathroom to find hardboard underneath, the problem I have is that the flooring Is now uneven with lumps of sand and cement and tile adhesive,I have a heavy duty floor scraper and I've removed as much as possible given the space limitations, the question I have is can I overboard this slightly uneven floor with 6mm plywood or will it need screeding and then overlaying with plywood before the vinyl is laid?.

Is it better to put the plywood down with screws so I can remove it at a later date?

Cheers

Andy

Probaby easier and cheaper to remove the hardboard and just screed over.
