Hi guys the wife has decided she wants wood floor for our new kitchen arrival, came accross a problem hopfully someone can help. Kitchen been extended in the past and were it meets the old floor there's a drop of 1inch, the drop only runs halfway accross the room. Can't believe someone thought this was exeptable. Thought about tapering it of with cement. Would appreciate some knowledge on the matter. Cheers Carl

Hi there yes it's the the kitchen, the high side is the right hand side which is concrete. The slope at the wall is 1 inch and tapers to level about a were Iam stood. Think Iam going to try pva'ing the the floorboards and cementing it flush with a large taper. Only option at the min. Just makes it hard work going flat in the middle of the room or else would board it out.
