Hi, I have a slope on my attic floor either side of a brick supporting wall. Its an old conversion so the joists and as big as they shuld be, so the floor is a bit wonky. I've seen loads of terraced houses like this.
Anyway, I know I could use self levelling compound, but would laying sheets of hardboard, and then filling up the 'steps' between them with a primary layer of underlay before putting the final layer on suffice? or would a thick underlay account for the 2 or 3mm variance between the sheets (As I will need to go from one sheet depth to two, to 3).
Many thanks
