Hi,
Looking for some solid advice on the best products to use here please. I have converted a flat of about 70m2, of which 3/4 is suspended above a car park. ALL the floors are concrete, and as the temperature has recently dropped, the cold "wind" that comes off the floor is ridiculous!
I've done a fair bit of time on Google, but decided to put it to the more experienced.
The floors are all over the place, where walls have been removed and rooms combined, so this needs addressing first.
Task list:
1. Level floors - what's best the use? I've read conflictin reports about what products are best. Some can be affected by dampness. I've not experienced any damp though.
2. Insulate floors - I don't want to lose too much room height here, so I was looking at plastic sheet (on levelled floor) -> insulating board Kingspan 25mm -> plastic sheet -> 9mm hardwood. Intention is to put Amtico tiles throughout, so that the floor never needs attending to again.
I know this is a lot at once for a first ever post, but happy to split if need be.
Thanks in advance!
