Hi I live in the east essex coast . I seem to have a problem with yellow liechen growing on the roof tiles it,s getting quite bad now. some people use a jet wash firm but I don't like the thought of a guy walking all over the roof with a jet lance .
Is there any thing on the market I can use to get rid of it ?

A decent fungicidal wash will kill the spores but will need to be applied every year or two.

Insert a copper strap under each tile just below the ridge line, it does mean someone getting on the roof, but the lichen and any other growth will die from the resultant run-off and won't come back, might take a while though!
