Evening all
We had cushion floor fitted in our bathroom a couple of months ago. Despite the fitter inserting several additional screws to stabilise the plywood sheeting underneath, the floor has started creaking.
Reckon I need to lift the cushion floor and put longer screws through the ply into the joists, but I have a feeling that he stuck the vinyl to the ply with some sort of adhesive.
Is it possible to lift glued-down cushion floor without damaging it? Maybe by softening the glue with a hairdryer?
I’m going to ring the carpet shop tomorrow and ask the same question, but just thought I’d canvass opinions here first.
TIA
