light banging noise/when heating warming up (near boiler)

hiya all, i am hoping its just expansion contraction (but never heard it before) sure it hasnt always done it!! in the last week or two i have heard its makes the noise for the first approx 20 mins in the bedroom above the garage (directly above the boiler)
does stop after 20 mins? more like a tapping noise ??

It's just the pipes as you surmised. I get the same thing in my place.
