Every time someone puts on either my bathroom light or Hall light, the light bulb in my bedroom glows very briefly, electrician checked bedroom light and found "nothing wrong" so have lived with this for about two years, any ideas out there??? House built 1969.
Is this a normal filament lamp, or a compact fluorescent, and is the light two way switched?
If its a CFL (energy saving) there can be odd capacative coupling effects.
If its a filament lamp you would need a high resistant connection, and a mixture of cross coupled supplies, such that the inrush of the cold lamps causes a brief voltage drop large enough to put the light on. - this would be most unusual, and could be proved or dis-proved by seeing if the flicker were more or less with a larger wattage bulb in the bathroom or hall.

That suggests a filament bulb but what about the hall and bathroom lights. Are they fluorescent? If so then I'm thinking that ALL their neutral return current is going through that bedroom bulb. This is a wiring fault that can happen very easily if you don't keep track of what goes where. Did somebody mix their black wires up?
