ive got a bathroom ceiling globe light....it says max 60w e27 type of bulb for this fitting.....can i up it to 100w as its a bit brighter or is there an alternative type of e27 60w bulb which is brighter..?...ta

i wouldnt up it to 100w. The fitting has been designed to take a 60w bulb and by going any higher, you risk damaging or even burning out the components that lie within. A 100watt bulb will project alot more heat than a 60watt remember.

can you not fit a 22w low energy bulb in that would be within heat limits
