Where I propose to fit my new bath/shower will mean when having a shower or bath it will be possible to reach the light pull cord.

Is this against regs?

It depends I would say on the height of the bathroom ceiling to which the pullcord is attached and the distance from the edge of the bath. If it's over 2.3m, or if the pullcord dangles more than 600mm from the side of the bath then you'll be fine

The cord can be in Z2, as long as the body of the switch is outside, that is OK.

Thanks guys.

Ah, well the body of the switch is almost directly above the corner of the bath, and less than 2 metres above it. I'm gonna have to move it then am I?

If it is not outside the zones, then you are best moving it, yes.
