Light fitting knackered?

Hi
I've tried a new bulb, but same problem, not coming on fully. Guess the fitting itself has died?

Take the gear tray out, some fittings have starters hidden behind-power off of course

What would the starter look like? Can't see anything obvious.

I have got such a 2D lamp working again with some new electronics. This link:

brings up the sort of thing I bought. Obviously do be careful that you look at ones which are suitable for the power of your lamp.

There's no starter, no.

TLC have new fittings for about £15, so I'llI reckon ill pick one up. Thanks for the help though, appreciate it.

Chuck it out and get a new led fitting, i think we paid around 20 quid to replace a 30+w circular fitting with a round led fitting 18w. The new one is brighter than the old one and comes on straight away.
