Hi,
Just bought a new ceiling rose for the kitchen however after wiring it up when I put the fuse back in the light is on when the switch is in the off position and the fuse blows if you try and then turn the light switch to the on position.
The original earth, black and red wiring wasn't long enough so I extended the wiring using earth, black and red cable from a previous project using block connectors.
The ceiling rose has a blue and brown wiring and 4 block connectors connected to the moulding.
I have the blue wire going to one connector and brown to the other side of the plastic mould I then have the red wire from old wiring to the connector next to the brown and black wire in the connector next to the blue. Hope this makes sense ?
I have also earthed the cable .
Any ideas to what I've done wrong ?
