Light switch - Earth wire

Hi,

I've got a light switch (without earth terminal) on a plastic (drywall) mounting box, which also has no earth terminal. Is it OK to connect the earth cable to a single connector, connected to nothing?

Assuming the light switch isn't a metal one (i.e. it definitely doesn't need an earth terminal), then yes, putting the CPC (earth) in a bit of choc block is absolutely fine...

Thanks, I assumed so, just wanted to double check. Both mounting box and switch are plastic.

There aren't any in the back box, as it's plastic. Good advice for future reference though.

Oh, sorry. Only one earth in this case. The earth from the switch cable and the supply cable are connected at the ceiling rose.

The cables real name is circuit protective conductor aka cpc.
