Light working but at half dim

Hi Everybody, hopefully some body can help me here.

My problem is my lights are very dull - almost as though they are at half dim. I can hardly see in my hall

I have recently just decorated my hall. My hall has two light switches in which both control the only light in the hall. They were both 2 way switches but i have now upgraded them. They are now: the primary switch is a normal 1 way chick switch and the second is a 2 way dimmer switch.

I have wired the switches like this

Primary switch - 2 way click switch:
L1: Red & Yellow
L2: Black & Blue (blue linking)
~: Red (linking)

Second switch - 2 way dimmer:
L1: Yellow
L2: Blue
~: Red

change the dimmer to a 2 way on / off and see what happens, i suspect your dimmer is at fault

Try just putting a normal 2-way switch in place of the dimmer and see if the lights work ok then.
You may need master and slave dimmer switches

Thanks for all you replys, i will try and change it to an two way switch and see what happens because i have tried every combination that i can do with no success. I have got the wires the correct way ate the moment havent i?
