Lighting control question.

Hi,

What i want to be able to do is switch 2 150W lights independently, but be able to dim them together so they are always at the same brightness...

I have been thinking about it for a while now and cant think of a 'tidy' way of doing it so thought i would ask and see if anyone has any advice?

One the main problems being that the load will change by 150W depending on if one or 2 lights are on.

Thanks breezer, Grid switches look like the way forward for a Tidy solution.

I am not familiar with them however, and looking online, all the ones I have come across are push on/off, are there any available that do not switch as well? or could a standard one be modified to stop it switching the lights?

Also, can anyone recommend a suitable make? Ive just looked at the MK grid plus stuff, but the 40w to 400w load dimmer takes up 2 modules, which I would rather avoid.

Ok, Im being a bit dense here, if i get a 2 way dimmer, i can obviously wire it to be always on.

But if anyone knows of any single module grid dimmers that can cope with 300W then please point me in the appropriate direction!

For anyone that is interested:

Phaseliner http://www.phaseliner.co.uk/ do a range of single silent dimmers, with a fixing kit for MK, crabtree, et al, grid system.

And this place sells them: http://www.i-glow.co.uk/, they look ok, so think i might give them a go.
