Basiclly i was asked by a friend to look @ a job for him.
lONG STORY SHORT.

bATHROOM LIGHT/Bedroom Light/kitchen light not working.


I have 5 sets of cables.

FEED 2CORE
SWITCH LINE BATHROOM 2 CORE
SWITCHLINE KITCHEN 2 CORE
LIGHT IN KITCHEN
Another cable im guessing goes to bedroom

@ The moment i have the following working - the kitchen light but when you turn on bathroom light the kitchen light goes dim, thenw hen you turn the kitchen light on the bathroom light goes off etc etc

So i got my siwtching wrong witht he kitchen and bathroom....
But i have spare cable- which like i said above i think its for the bedroom.
it doesnt seem to be a switchline for the bedroom

any help would be great

lol get an electrician in to pole the cables and find out what goes where. Sounds like you might have some of it wired ins eries, hence the dimming lights.
 
You also shouldnt be messing with kitchen or bathroom lights without understanding what you are doing due to part P (aswell as common sense).

You might have left exposed cable ends, and this is extremely dangerous.

lol good call. Ok erm...

Buy a multimeter and dead test the cables to find out what goes where.
You will then be able to match them up to the correct switches by the same method, also finding which is the switched live. You can then use the Wiki you will see how to wire it up properly.

But please dont electrocute yourself or anyone else. Animals included.
