Within our bathroom, we will be creating a 1600mm by 1250mm closed off shower cubicle / steam room (corner)

What kind of lighting (if any) can I use in the ceiling?

Any that the manufacturer says is suitable for the location - as in bathroom.

If the ceiling is less than 2.25m. from the finished floor level then lights stated as suitable for Zone 1.

I would strongly recommend Collingwood H2 Pro downlights. Their H2 Pro 550 CS (DLT4286500) are very popular in bathrooms. Dimmable, and click the dimmer quickly off and back on swaps colour through day light, cool white, warm white.

Finished ceiling height will be about 2.36m.

What about LED light strip options or starry light options?
