Lights on sensors

Some advice please

Iv just bought a large property and it has a long corridor.
I want to put spot lights along the corridor on a sensor and switch with on, off and auto facility.

Now what i have seen in commercial buildings with long corridors as you are walking along the lights start coming on for example 2 at a time. Not together but has going along they are coming on 2 at a time if you understand what i mean. Quite cool i think

What i want to kno is are them 2 lights connected to each sensors or is ther a gadget for this kind of lighting setup

It is highly likely that each pair are controlled by it's own individual sensor,
there are number different types these that generally have a detection range of 1 to 8 metres.
