Just stripped one of our bedrooms, it was pink roses ! We are now going for plain emulsion but i think will need lining paper to even things up as there are various colours and plaster underneath.
Is traditional lining paper best or the Fibreliner paper ? As its a small room cost is not an issue. The surface is fairly good, just need to cover the colours which would otherwise need several coats of emulsion.

Just a standard 1400 paper will be fine.

The fibre liner is good if you are trying to insulate walls, it's not really the stuff to use to just smarten up a few walls.

It also I'm my opinion doesn't give as nice a finish
