Hi all

I have 4 60cm 4w LED lights (Ikea RATIONELL) connected under the kitchen counter tops. 3 of them are linked, the 4th is across the room and the cable goes into the wall. I can see two cables (plus our main power supply going into 1 switch under the counter tops, so they are all controlled by that - and work fine

I want to add another 3 lights of the same size and power above the kitchen units. Is there a limit to how many link-able lights can be used in 1 connection?

I also plan on replacing the switch for this system to a wireless one that I can mount next the main switches in the kitchen as easier to access

Thanks

In practice it wont be a problem in a single room, because the supply cable capacity will exceed the very low wattage of all the lights combined

Linked at low voltage (230 volts) not a problem, linked at extra low voltage (0-50 volts DC) it depends on the power supply, tried to look up "Ikea RATIONELL" lights and failed to find them.

I use TP-Link strip lights now, as they are smart so can simply say hey google turn on/off kitchen lights and they all respond. Also Poundland GU10 smart lights for ceiling, I have a mixture use Tapo smart switches, and Energenie, so the google home app even without using the Nest Mini speakers brings all the lights together with one app.

I have Ikea strip lamps, but in a box now, as so much easier with smart lamps.
