Im converting my garage into a habitable room and utility room. I want to put in a linkable smoke alarm into both rooms so if there is a fire in the utility room then that alarm sounds and so does the alarm in the habitable room. I want a mains wired option. Can anyone suggests an option or a link. I have searched briefly on the web but there are millions.

P.S not sure is this belongs in this section of the forum

Something like these should do the job. I installed a couple at home last year.

Run the supply from a local lighting circuit with 3c+e betwen the alarms to allow you to interlink them. Depending on how the cable is installed you may have to provide RCD protection.
