I’ve noticed a few times recently that thus forum is not allowing links to Screwfix to work at the moment. Why is this?

This is a link to a twin socket
https://www.screwfix.com/p/mk-logic-plus-13a-2-gang-dp-switched-plug-socket-white/15747

Clicking on the link rather than taking you to the appropriate page on Screwfix, brings up this page:

I assume it's because diynot gets a cut of any sales on amazon, but doubtless a moderator can confirm.

Blup

Unfortunately we were directed by Screwfix to suspend links due to the pandemic, because of the changes they've had to make to the way they operate and demand levels, safety of staff etc. As soon as we get word from them links will go back to normal.

My question here is very important.

Is this still the case?

Are you still breaking Screwfix links at their behest?

And if you are, WT* don't you tell your moderators so that they can give proper answers to people who complain instead of making out that the problem lies with them?

I think (but know nothing about such things in reality) it's a hang-up from when DIYnot revamped the site a few years ago and tried to monetize Screwfix links, then Screwfix weren't interested and it's been broken ever since.
