hi, i am building an extension onto a 260mm wall (old building regs: 100mm block, 60mm cavity, 100mm block) and need to fit 2 windows into it.

standard full lintels are the metal type for a 300mm wall.

so would I use 2 x 100mm concrete lintels? Do they need to be tied together or just fitted individually onto the inner and outer block walls?

by the way, building regs have inspected and the existing wall/foundation is good for the additional load.

I used a thinner Catnic on my extension.

It was a CG70/1001500 which means 70mm cavity, 100mm bit for the bricks on each side and 1500mm length.

I think there were CG50's too.
