Hi All
I have a Millenco locking bar thats going to need to be replaced in the near future. I have just replaced one on the front door which was a ERA one for £31
is it possible to replace a Millenco locking bar with an ERA locking bar are they swappable or do I has to put a Millenco in again as they are more expensive.

Do you mean the actual door lock? If so no Millenco wont be a straight swap, the door keeps are likely to be in the wrong place on the main lock , and if its just the gearbox on the lock , then the latch and deadbolt are likely to be different, as well as fixing points and how it operates the remainder of the door lock mechanism . Other than that im not sure what you mean by 'locking bar '

Usually its just the centre gearbox that goes wrong, Millenco gearboxes can be unscrewed with either a Phillips screw or a torx ( depends on age ) . Maybe worth taking out the old lock , disconnecting the gearbox, check the top and bottom bolts slide and work , if so replace the gearbox . Yale and Lockmaster gearboxes are also used in some millenco so double check all the key measurements that will be shown on any gearbox advert are the same as yours and then do a visual check with the photos provided
